Healthy Salad Dressings, Vinaigrettes, Salsa and more!

Orange Cashew Dressing:

Basic Salad Dressing:
2 Tbsp nutritional yeast
1 Tbsp tamari
1 Tbsp mustard
2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
Juice of 1 lime or lemon or orange (you pick!)
1 Tbsp agave nectar or raw honey
1 tsp vegetarian Worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp wheat germ
Water to desired consistency
Whisk the ingredients together in a bowl or quickly blend couple seconds in vita-mix.

Dijon Vinaigrette:
1/2 cup seasoned rice vinegar
1 to 2 tsp Dijon mustard
1 clove garlic, diced
Whisk away!

Salsa:
3 large tomatoes (cut in half or quarters)
1 jalapeno pepper (remove seeds)
2 cloves garlic
1 cup cilantro
1 small onion (cut in half) or 2 green onions
Juice of 1 lime
Sea Salt if you desire.....I don't use any salt.
Blend all together until desired consistency.  In my Vita-Mix it takes 5 seconds.
I love this salsa served fresh!   I pour it over my garden burgers.  My family likes blue chips with it.  You can use it for crackers, pita bread, or toasted corn tortillas.  Yummy!

Enjoy the recipes!

  1. OMG! Finally a salad dressing that not only sounds yummy, but doesn't rely on a heavy portion of olive oil! I'm making this tonight!!!!!!!
